This quick and basic bootie is constructed in-the-round (on a set of 5 dpn's) with super bulky yarn and US 10.5 needles, making it a quick and modern knit. The 5 page pattern provides for step-by-step instructions and plenty of photos. Although it looks complicated, it's a pretty straight-forward pattern.
 
Soles can be purchased at French Lavender Home. They are also widely available online and Etsy.
